I hope you had an awesome holiday. I got to spin at a party for New Years Eve, and I used my new synth to enhance the mix. It's a Novation X-Station 25. My wife totally surprised me with it. She is pretty cool like that. May God bless you this year!

Thanksgiving Notes

I think many overlook the Thanksgiving holiday in anticipation of Christmas. Stores start selling Christmas stuff in October. People start stringing their house with lights in November...
Although I love the celebration of Jesus' miraculous birth, I am very thankful for all that God has done for me and I never want to take it for granted. I am thankful for the opportunity to mix and spin great music. I am thankful for the support my wife gives me (she really likes it when I DJ just for her).

THR3E

The THR3E movie opens this weekend! I've read the book by Ted Dekker several times and I love it. This is one book that I have wanted to direct as a movie myself, and I am very interested to see how it turns out. I'm almost as excited about the release of this movie as I was about The Lord of the Rings.
SYNOPSIS: When a young seminary student is targeted by a psychopathic killer, he joins forces with a criminal psychologist whose brother was murdered by the same madman. Together they must unravel the killer's riddles and catch him before he strikes again, but the closer they get, the more twisted the path becomes. This heart-pounding thriller will keep you guessing up until the final shocking scene! Based on the best-selling novel by Ted Dekker.
Christian based movies only do well if Christians go see it. Tell everyone you know about THR3E. Go see it with groups of people. Go see it with your family. Just go see it!

This is a great new beginning and I can't wait to see wait God does with me this year. I know He has big plans for me and I pray that I make Him happy with my efforts. Favorite Christmas Song

In honor of Christ's birth and the celebration of it, I thought I would write up a quick note about my favorite Christmas song, The Little Drummer Boy.
I have always liked the music with its simulated drums, pa rum pa pum pum. However, the more I get to know Jesus the more I like the message of The Little Drummer Boy. God wants us to give Him our best no matter what. It is pretty clear in the Bible that our gift to God is not measured by whether we are wealthy or poor. I think God longs for the day when giving of ourselves becomes a part of who we are. Have you ever giving to the needy for Christmas? Or (something more relevant to a music site) have you ever written a song to Jesus for Christmas? I think that is what the writer of The Little Drummer Boy was doing; giving God what He had.
Everybody has a favorite Christmas song, if they think about it.
